Bluetooth Wireless Technology : Freedom of cables and line !

Bluetooth is a simple instant radio solution that allows different devices to talk to each other.
This means that many of the operations you do now using cables or infrared can be replaced by Bluetooth.
However, because each Bluetooth device is a radio, it means that they are not limited to line of sight, and they can even communicate through walls.
Also, because it doesn't use physical cables you don't have to worry about having the correct cable or connector for the other end of the connection.

Bluetooth is designed to transmit over 100m+ (Class 1) distances, but with a low power drain, which means it can be used in battery powered products (e.g. mobile phones / PDAs).
'Personal Area Networking?aptly describes Bluetooth's best feature -being able to create a mini personal network with any devices within your 100m+ radio 'bubble'.

For devices to communicate using Bluetooth they each need a radio.
Many products are now available with Bluetooth built in (e.g. mobile phones from Nokia and Ericsson / printers from Hewlett Packard / Epson).
However, if you don't already have Bluetooth built in to your device you can use an add-on Bluetooth radio

Our devices currently available in the market include:
-.Bluetooth USB adaptor
-.Bluetooth CompactFlash cards

More devices are appearing on a regular basis from different companies.
